Weekly Steelers News and Rumors

  • The Steelers have signed Tajh Boyd.  Boyd was drafted by the Jets in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.  This is nothing more than a depth move and personally don't see him making it onto the 53-man roster.

  • As most have predicted, the Titans appear to have interest in Jason Worilds. according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean.  According to Dianna Marie Russini of NBC 4, the Eagles also plan on pursuing the linebacker. Joel Corry of CBSSports.com believes that Worilds should be asking for $10.75 per year and believes that he will end up with a contract around 5 years 53.75 million.

  • Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com has reported that the Eagles may be interested in signing Brice McCain.  For my thoughts on McCain and Worilds make sure to check the link at the beginning of this post.

  • According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Steelers have shown interest in CB Cary Williams.  Obviously he would be a great fit for the team, however, I do not see the move as something that will likely happen.  I think the team will attempt to fix the secondary issues with the draft.

  • Scott Brown of ESPN.com explained that Troy Polamalu is still unsure about his future.  While he may be uncertain, the Steelers are not and are hoping that Polamalu retires.  There is no scenario I can imagine where he returns to the the team at this point.
